PARA - YOU NEVER CHANGE/FOR DANCE 7" :

" Released on breakin bread and veering away from your standard hip hop business is another 45 single by Para and Baila. The Swindon duo of highly able turntable technicians hit us with two slices of uptempo funk, both heavy on the rhythm guitar and scratched breakbeats.

Para goes for self on 'you never change' and Baila assists on the knob twiddling for the flip. B side wins again with tough horns and dusty organ samples floating in and out. Para has made a bit of a name for himself by supplying a series of battle weapon records for budding turntablists, whilst together they have crafted a number of intricately layered mix-tapes with remarkable results.

Check out thier still available Feats per minute CD for proof. "

PARA - YOU NEVER CHANGE/FOR DANCE 7" :

" Para is welcomed into the Breakin Bread label fold as another purveyor of quality, breakbeat tinged, funky as hell, dancefloor music.

1 - You never change: A nod towards Nina simones classic 'funkier than a mosquito's tweeter' This is a heavy upbeat guitar/bass driven track. Hard drums with strong lead vocals and some seriously funky hooks makes it instantly appealing to the ears. The track features mostly live instrumentation giving it an organic raw edge.

2 - For Dance: For this track Para enlisted the aid of Baila to help create a dance floor rocker. Starting with funk guitars and a massive bass riffs the track then drops into Heavy drums guaranteed to please the b-boys and b-girls. Definitely a party tune with a party groove. "

BREAKSPOTTING :
“ More good battle stuff from Hot shot records. Heavy heavy funk loops to scratch to, plus 3 skip proofs, a nice and well constructed sentence with a quick flow and two bass tones. Good work from Para, keeping the Hotshots standard high. ”

BREAKS BY NUMBERS :
“ It seems that your boy DJ Para is the only one consistently dropping battle break records ,So it’s lucky that everyone he brings out is great. ‘Breaks by numbers’ is another collection of mostly electro/old-school influenced) practice beats and scratch noises (both skippable and unskippable), and is highly recommended material for anyone out there wishing to practice their cuts. ”

THE BREAK SEARCH :
" I wanna start by bigging up DJ Para's The Break Search Battle record. This guy has been holding it down as the top British battle weapon producer for a while now,and with this release he ups things a notch to include some seriously dope practice beats as well as a variety of really useful and non skippable scratch sentences. This comes highly recommended. "
